Introducing Victoria B. Robinson...

Victoria is published author with a sharp eye, poetic ear and great sense of humour - her energy is contagious, her laughter even more so! I am proud to be able to say - despite her recent relocation to the US: Ms. Robinson is on board!

Her (sadly now discontinued) blog BLACKprint was for many years "the" source of information on Black Germany (http://black-print.blogspot.com/). But I am pleased that her wisdom will soon be available in English as part of the Witnessed Series :-)

For more information about Victoria and her recent publications, please take some time to visit her website:

Introducing Amy Evans...

Amy Evans is an award-winning playwright, living in the United States and a woman I greatly admire. Two of Amy's plays "Achidi J's Final Hours" and "The Most Unsatisfied Town" are based on tragic events that have taken place in Germany, which mark key historical moments in Black German history. I am immensely grateful that Amy has agreed to be part of this project.

Introducing Philipp Khabo Köpsell...

Philipp Khabo Köpsell is a rising star - he has hit Berlin's spoken word scene running. Witnessed without Philipp would be unimaginable, particularly as he and I have a plan - watch this space...!

Introducing Tigist Selam...

Tigist Selam is a gifted artist - she acts, she directs, she creates and I am truly honoured that she has also agreed to become involved in Witnessed and look forward very much to working with her.

An example of her work "Der Raum" is featured on the Heinrich Böll Foundation's website:

Introducing Olumide Popoola...

Olumide will be one of the authors, whose work will be published in the "Witnessed" Series.
I am really excited about the opportunity to be able to work with Olu again - I was her editor for her first novella "this is not about sadness" published 2010 in UNRAST Verlag.
Olu is a talented writer and performance poet - it is an honour to have her name associated with the series.
