The "Daima" exhibition will be on display in Berlin for 6 weeks from mid-February in the August-Bebel-Institut (Berlin-Wedding).

Coming Soon! Witnessed Edition 3: "Daima"

“Daima” is a black and white photographic portrayal of a group of inspiring Black women who live and work in Germany. From lively group pictures of sistahs together, through intimate representations of two ladies confiding in each other, to beautiful portraits of individuals, this book captures their interactions in a variety of settings. Afro-German photographer Nzitu Mawakha presents a unique collection of striking images and combines these with texts, where the women portrayed focus their gaze on the reader-viewer and where the women portrayed are the one to ask the questions.

"Daima" is the third publication in the Witnessed Series and is due out in October 2013...watch this space!
